Colombian Military Plane Crash

A Colombian Air Force (FAC) Hércules C-130 military plane has crashed in a rural area of Puerto Leguízamo, Putumayo. The aircraft was carrying 139 people in total: 114 Army soldiers and 25 Air Force crew members. Preliminary reports indicate that there are no confirmed fatalities at this time. Minister of Defense Pedro Sánchez has activated the family assistance protocols and requested that speculation be halted while the forensic investigation progresses. The FAC's accident investigation commission is traveling to the crash site to determine the cause, whether it was a mechanical failure, an operational error, or complex weather conditions. The plane was on a routine mission to transport troops and supply military bases in the region. Due to being at full capacity, an additional group of military personnel was relocated to commercial flights.
